A Global Retail Programme, Designed for Local Relevance

Greater Group’s work with New Balance spans two distinct engagements: a global design adaptation programme across sixteen countries, and the bespoke concept design for New Balance Lifestyle Roppongi in Tokyo.

Through the global programme, Greater Group has delivered thirty-two projects, including more than fifteen flagships, adapting New Balance’s established retail standards across diverse markets, formats and tenancy conditions. Greater Group’s scope spans space planning, design development, 3D visualisation, visual merchandising planograms and technical documentation, enabling local teams to deliver consistently against the global brand standard.

New Balance Lifestyle Roppongi represented a different design challenge. Rather than adapting an existing concept, Greater Group developed a bespoke lifestyle retail concept specifically for the Tokyo market, drawing on Japanese cultural references to create a flexible fixture system and distinct retail experience tailored to its audience and setting.

Together, the two engagements demonstrate Greater Group’s ability to work at both ends of retail design: adapting and maintaining global standards at scale, while creating an original, market-specific concept when the opportunity calls for a new direction.
