Greater Group procures, manufactures, fits out and installs the environments it designs, so the intent that survives every drawing also survives the factory floor, the container and the site.
Build smarter from manufacture through to installation.

01 · Project Management
Coordinate the programme from start to finish.
One accountable project team manages the programme across schedule, drawings, approvals, tendering, suppliers and site requirements. Clear responsibilities, reporting and communication are established from the outset, giving the client a single point of coordination through every stage of delivery.

02 · Manufacture
Make with greater control over quality and detail.
Our manufacturing capability brings joinery, fixtures and bespoke elements into a controlled production environment. Full-size prototypes, material samples and production reviews allow details to be tested and refined before manufacture, with our Melbourne facility supported by production partners across Asia.

03 · Procurement
Source the right product at the right quality and cost.
We manage sourcing and procurement across materials, furniture, fixtures and specialist components, balancing quality, price, lead times and responsible production. Suppliers are assessed and monitored throughout the programme, with purchasing coordinated against manufacturing and site delivery dates.

04 · Value Engineering
Engineer value into materials, construction and logistics.
We review materials, construction methods, structural requirements, production processes and logistics to identify efficiencies within the design. Solutions are tested against durability, quality, cost and buildability, creating a more efficient pathway from approved design through to manufacture.

05 · Delivery
Control every detail through to final handover.
Inventory, warehousing, freight and installation are coordinated through one delivery programme, with products tracked and inspected before reaching site. Installation, defect management, commissioning and final QA carry the project through to completed handover with the required documentation and warranties in place.

OUR SUPPLY ROUTES
01
Local
Melbourne factory
Owned manufacturing in Melbourne. Best when speed to first-off, design integrity on hero units and Australian-made claims outweigh raw unit cost. Suits concept stores, flagship hero units, prototypes, market-of-one builds and fast-turn refurbs.
02
Hybrid
Best of both, sequenced
Hero and first-off pieces run locally while volume is manufactured offshore in parallel. The route most large roll-outs settle on — speed where it matters, cost where it scales. Suits multi-site roll-outs that need flagship-grade hero pieces fast and competitive unit cost on the volume.
03
Offshore
Asia, volume & cost
Full offshore manufacturing across our audited Asia partner panel. Lowest unit cost at volume — provided the spec is engineered for it and quality is controlled at source. Suits high-volume roll-outs and standardised fixture kits where engineered-for-scale specs unlock real unit savings.
Inside The Lab
Our own factory floor, in Tullamarine.
The Lab is Greater Group’s own manufacturing facility in Tullamarine, Melbourne — the reason the first paragraph of this page can say that the people who drew it also make it.

Inside The Lab
Panel machining
The Biesse Rover flatbed machining centre routes, drills and nests panel components straight from the drawing file, so what was documented is what gets cut.
Inside The Lab
Panel breakdown
Full sheets are broken down to size on the SELCO beam saw and the Altendorf sliding table — the beam saw for repeatable volume across a run, the slider for one-off and first-off work.
Inside The Lab
Edge banding
The Biesse Akron 1400 applies and finishes edge tape in a single pass at production speed, which is what keeps a long run of carcases consistent.
Inside The Lab
Spray finishing
Paint and lacquer are finished in our own booth behind a water wall, with European-standard extraction — so a specified finish is matched here rather than approximated by someone else.
Inside The Lab
Metal workshop
Steel sections are cut, folded and MIG welded in-house for frames, brackets and bespoke metalwork, alongside the signage shop that fabricates the brand elements they carry.
Inside The Lab
Bench & prototyping
Fixtures are assembled, squared and hand-finished on the bench, and the sample room builds them at full size — so a fixture is approved as an object rather than as a drawing.
Why Brands Choose Us
Everything a rollout needs, from one team.
01
Speed
Drawing to store floor in weeks, not quarters. Our Melbourne factory turns hero pieces fast while volume runs offshore in parallel.
02
Scale
One store or one thousand — same team, same standard. We engineer the spec for volume so unit cost actually comes down as you grow.
03
Quality
Independent SGS inspection plus our own QC on every shipment. Nothing leaves a factory without Greater Group sign-off.
04
Honest pricing
Local, hybrid or offshore — priced straight, with no markup hidden in freight. You see what each route really costs against your package.
05
Compliance
SA8000 / SMETA audited supply, ISO-aligned quality, ethical sourcing. Offshore cost with the paperwork buyers and boards expect.
06
One point of contact
A senior key account manager owns your programme end to end — design, manufacture, QC, freight and install. One name accountable, start to finish.
FEATURED WORK
Made, shipped and installed.
Environments manufactured, fitted out and installed by Greater Group — across retail, hospitality, stadium and workplace sites.
Yes. Build is regularly engaged on documentation drawn by someone else — we review it for buildability, price it, and flag where intent and budget will collide before anything is ordered.
Do you manufacture yourselves or subcontract it?
Both, deliberately. Our Melbourne joinery facility has manufactured fixtures, fittings and displays for more than 30 years, with full-size prototyping and a paint and lacquer shop on site. JV partners across Asia add R&D depth and volume, held to the same standard.
Every external supplier passes a three-point audit — CSR, vendor capability and project capability — before they touch a programme.
How do you protect quality across markets?
One project team owns the programme end to end, and QA is signed off against the guidelines the design was drawn from. Barcode tracking, inspections and defect management catch problems before installation rather than at handover.
Can you work around a trading site?
Yes. Staged fitouts around trading floors and occupied venues are routine — including work inside stadium and airport windows where the site is only available between events.
What certifications do you hold?
ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 for quality, environmental and safety management. Our partner network also carries SA8000, SMETA, FSC and CE / UL.
Can value engineering save cost without cheapening it?
That is the whole test. Value engineering here re-engineers existing design intent — material matching, durability, container optimisation and packing to order — so cost comes out and the design stays in.
Where do you install, and are the teams your own?
They are our own. Fifteen Greater Group installation teams cover New South Wales and Canberra, Victoria and South Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory, Western Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Indonesia.
Owning the teams is what keeps the standard consistent across a roll-out: the same people answer for the install in the tenth market as in the first, rather than a different subcontractor in each.
What happens after handover?
Handover closes with QA signed off against the guidelines the design came from, warranty control and the complete documentation set.
Beyond that, programmed maintenance keeps a site at the standard it opened at — durability inspections, cleaning protocols, on-site repairs, warranty care and day two works. Measuring how the space then trades, and acting on it, is where Perform picks up.
