HOW WE WORK

Plan the Workplace Around Your Team’s Needs

Design

01 · Test Fit

Test the floorplate against team needs.

Test fits establish how effectively a floorplate can accommodate the team, required work settings and future headcount. This provides a clear spatial and commercial basis for property decisions before progressing into design.

What Growing Businesses Usually Ask First

Do you design and build?

Yes. Greater Group can manage the full workplace project across test fits, strategy, design, documentation, joinery, furniture procurement, fitout and handover, or work across individual stages depending on your requirements.

An integrated approach keeps design, programme, budget and delivery coordinated through one team from the initial brief through to occupation.

How do you plan for a team that is still growing?

We start with a test fit, looking at current headcount, projected growth, attendance patterns and the different settings your team needs.

This establishes how effectively the floorplate can accommodate the business today and how it can adapt as teams, headcount and ways of working evolve.

Can you refurbish while we’re still in the building?

Yes. Refurbishments can be staged by floor, zone or programme to allow teams to continue working throughout the project.

Phasing, access and disruptive works are planned in advance around business hours and operational requirements to minimise disruption to your team.

Can we retain parts of our existing fitout?

Yes. We assess the existing workplace early to identify furniture, joinery, services, finishes and other elements that can be retained or adapted.

Selective reuse can reduce waste, programme and capital expenditure, with retained elements incorporated into the new workplace design.

Can you procure our furniture and joinery?

Yes. We coordinate workstations, task seating, loose furniture and bespoke joinery as part of the wider workplace programme.

Joinery can be manufactured through The Lab in Melbourne, with furniture sourced through our supplier network and coordinated through procurement, delivery and installation.

Can you work with our landlord and other consultants?

Yes. We regularly coordinate with landlords, building management, base-build teams, technology consultants and other project stakeholders.

Our team manages the relevant interfaces throughout design and delivery, helping keep approvals, programme and site requirements coordinated.

Can you support multiple offices and markets?

Yes. Greater Group supports individual workplaces, multi-office programmes and projects across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and global markets.

We can develop shared workplace principles across a portfolio and adapt them to each office’s team requirements, floorplate, location and local conditions.

What do you need from us to get started?

A site or potential floorplate, current and projected headcount, target occupation date and indicative budget are enough to start the conversation. Floor plans, lease information, workplace requirements and existing brand guidelines are also useful where available.

We can then define the test fit, project scope, programme and next steps.
