Delivering a Campus Refurbishment Inside Two School Holiday Windows

Greater Group, together with PMDL, delivered a two-phase transformation of the French International School in Hong Kong, with Greater Group acting as lead consultant and management contractor. Both phases were programmed around the school holidays, allowing extensive works to be completed without disrupting the academic year.

Phase 1 was a major campus-wide modernisation spanning nine classrooms, bathrooms, corridors, administrative offices, staffroom, library, 150-seat canteen, dance studio, swimming pool and playgrounds. The works extended to a complete exterior refurbishment, including new façade cladding and windows, alongside full air-conditioning and electrical replacement and a major technology upgrade.

Phase 2 followed in 2022, with 15 further classrooms, a library, counsellor’s office, new façade works and window replacements delivered within just two months. Building on the systems established in Phase 1, the team carried the same design quality and cost discipline into an equally compressed programme.

Across two phases, Greater Group transformed both the interior and exterior of a live international school within the windows between terms—delivering each stage in time for students and staff to return to a completed, modernised campus.
