Emirates Leisure Retail

Greater Group has partnered with Emirates Leisure Retail to deliver a portfolio of hospitality venues across airports in Australia and New Zealand, spanning premium wine and dining, bar, café and restaurant concepts. From Penfolds Wine Bar & Kitchen at Adelaide Airport to Vantage Bar, Aroha Café & Bar and Wondertree at Auckland International Airport, each project creates a different experience around the same moment: the time passengers spend before departure.

Designing hospitality for an airport means working with a customer whose time, movement and priorities are different from a conventional hospitality setting. Across the portfolio, Greater Group has responded by creating experiences that give travellers a reason to pause, from bringing Penfolds’ South Australian heritage into its home airport, to creating a contemporary expression of New Zealand at Aroha, an immersive dining environment at Wondertree and a large-scale sports bar overlooking the runway at Vantage.

Greater Group’s involvement has ranged from concept design and documentation through to procurement and project management, adapting each venue to its brand and airport context while delivering within the operational requirements of an international terminal. The portfolio has also received industry recognition, with Penfolds Wine Bar & Kitchen awarded Gold at the 2020 Melbourne Design Awards, Vantage Bar Silver in 2020 and Aroha Café & Bar Silver in 2019.
