01 Project Brief

Extending the HCF Network Beyond the Branch

HCF sought a flexible retail format that could establish a presence in locations where a permanent branch was not viable or before a long-term tenancy was confirmed. The kiosk needed to deliver the same approachable member experience as the wider network while operating within the constraints of shopping centre common areas, short installation windows and temporary lease arrangements.

The challenge was to create a modular retail solution that could be rapidly deployed, relocated and reinstalled without compromising brand presence or operational performance.

02 Our Approach

Designing for Rapid Deployment

Greater Group designed, manufactured and installed a modular kiosk system engineered for speed, flexibility and repeatability. Every component was developed as part of a standardised kit that could be efficiently transported, assembled and relocated, enabling consistent delivery across multiple shopping centres with minimal disruption.

Drawing directly from HCF’s retail design language, the kiosk translated the brand experience into a compact footprint while maintaining a clear visual connection to the wider branch network. An integrated design, manufacturing and installation process ensured each deployment met the same standards of quality and consistency.

03 Project Outcome

A Flexible Retail Platform

The kiosk programme provided HCF with a scalable retail format that could rapidly extend the brand’s presence, test new markets and maintain visibility where a permanent branch was not yet justified. By combining modular construction with a consistent retail identity, the solution created a flexible platform for national expansion and was recognised with a Silver Award for Pop-Ups, Display, Exhibit & Set Design at the 2021 Sydney Design Awards.
