01 Project Brief

Creating a Dual-Frontage Flagship

Pandora sought to establish a flagship store on Sydney’s Pitt Street Mall, Australia’s busiest retail precinct and the Sydney counterpart to Bourke Street Mall in Melbourne. The brief called for the transformation of an existing trading tenancy into the brand’s latest global concept while retaining uninterrupted presence on the mall.

The defining challenge was the tenancy itself. Extending through the building with public access from both ends, the store needed to function as two equally compelling frontages rather than a traditional front-and-back arrangement. Internally, split levels required vertical circulation to become an integrated part of the customer journey, while new digital experiences needed to be seamlessly incorporated into the retail environment.

02 Our Approach

Integrating Design, Delivery and Digital

Greater Group delivered the project through an integrated design-and-build approach, managing design development, documentation, approvals, consultant coordination and construction under a single team. This streamlined programme delivery while maintaining design intent from concept through to completion.

The design treated both ends of the tenancy as true flagship entrances, creating a seamless retail experience regardless of the customer’s point of arrival. Vertical circulation was integrated into the store journey through open, highly visible architectural detailing, maintaining strong visual connections between levels. Bespoke digital touchpoints, including an e-commerce bar, interactive touchscreen and integrated media displays, were custom designed and built to sit naturally within Pandora’s retail language, reinforcing the omnichannel customer experience without compromising the premium environment.

03 Project Outcome

A Flagship for Australia's Premier Retail Address

The completed flagship established Pandora’s presence on Australia’s highest-profile retail street, transforming a complex dual-frontage tenancy into a cohesive, multi-level customer experience. The store became an internal benchmark for the brand, recognised within Pandora’s flagship training programme alongside the Queen Victoria Building store, and continues to be referenced by Greater Group as a defining example of integrated retail design and delivery.
