Breitling, Citygate Mall

Breitling required its Citygate boutique delivered to the brand’s established global store concept. The fixture families, material palette and overall retail language were already set, placing the focus on translating those standards accurately into the tenancy and resolving the documentation required for manufacture and construction.

In watch retail, the display environment carries a significant part of the customer experience. Cases and millwork sit immediately around the product and are viewed at close range, making alignment, hardware, lighting integration and finish quality highly visible. Citygate required that level of precision across the complete customer-facing fixture package.

Greater Group held design documentation, joinery manufacture and build within one delivery team. The global concept was resolved against the actual tenancy dimensions, services and landlord requirements, creating a coordinated package that could move directly into manufacture.

The custom joinery was then manufactured to the same documentation used to resolve the site, maintaining a direct link between the brand standard and the finished fixture. The team responsible for documenting the pieces remained involved through manufacture and installation, allowing detailing and site interfaces to be resolved within the same delivery structure.

The completed Citygate boutique delivers Breitling’s global retail language through precisely manufactured display cases, millwork and finishes. The joinery provides the architectural framework around the watches and gives the boutique the level of refinement expected of the brand.

Holding documentation, manufacture and build together also gave the project a clear line of accountability from the issued concept through to installation. The finished store reflects the strength of a luxury retail environment where the quality of the fixture system is inseparable from the quality of the customer experience.
