01 - Project Brief

New Retail Footprint In Two Cities

Diamond Exchange sought a new physical retail presence across two luxury precincts, requiring end-to-end delivery from concept through sourcing and on-site works. Melbourne’s Collins Street location needed a modern showroom for bespoke consultations and handcrafted ring display. Sydney’s George Street location required a heritage-sensitive fit-out that preserves architectural character while introducing a contemporary boutique aligned with the evolving brand and sustainability values.

02 - Our Approach

Heritage Meets Modern Luxury

The programme sets a consistent customer journey across both locations while tailoring solutions to each site. Melbourne prioritised openness, natural light and integrated consultation areas to encourage exploration. Sydney focused on careful integration of new elements alongside retained heritage features, with custom joinery, warm lighting and durable finishes specified to meet performance and compliance requirements without compromising the building’s character.

03 - Project Outcome

Trust-Led Retail Experience

The two flagships translate brand heritage and craftsmanship into clear, welcoming environments that support consultation, product education and hands-on engagement. Layout planning improves flow and dwell time, while a controlled material and lighting approach keeps the experience premium yet approachable. Together, they form a scalable jewellery retail design and build model that strengthens brand presence across different architectural contexts.

Having worked with greater group on several projects over the past five years, we had no hesitation partnering with them again for our most recent Diamond Exchange showroom in Sydney. We knew to expect their customary keen attention to detail, a high level of professionalism in addition to innovative design solutions. Despite presenting greater group with a number of challenges including heritage issues, limited site-access and an aggressive timeframe, they delivered a beautifully designed and immaculately appointed showroom which exceeded our expectations.
