Phase 1 Upgrade: The New Look of FIS Jardine’s Lookout Campus

In collaboration with PMDL Architecture + Design, greater group provided management contractor services to deliver phase 1 of the revitalisation upgrade project at the French International School’s (FIS) Jardine’s Lookout Campus. The scope of this project was to upgrade the 30-year old campus according to the school’s new learning standard of design. The refurbishment project included classrooms, corridors, bathrooms, offices, the canteen, swimming pool, windows, exterior facade and more. As management contractor and lead consultant, the greater group team, along with the joint efforts of the design and build partners, successfully completed the first phase of the project on time in only eight weeks.

Extensive Renovations & Modernisation of Facilities 

Led by greater group as management contractor and lead consultant, the large-scale renovations completed during this phase includes nine classrooms, two bathrooms, corridors, administrative and management offices, the staffroom, library, 150-pax canteen, dance studio, swimming pool and playgrounds. Further to this, a full exterior renovation was completed including facade cladding and new window installations. Finally, a complete A/C and electrical replacement was done as well as a full technology upgrade.

Inspiring Learning Space

The modern classroom interior with playful pops of colours integrates effortlessly into the furniture and fixtures, which contribute to an uplifting and inspiring learning environment. The upgraded bathrooms embody a minimalist design with a light timber palette and large mirrors that maximise the sense of space. The newly installed exterior windows allow for plenty of natural light, while offering a pristine view of the beautiful greenery that serves as the school’s backdrop. The revamp of the communal spaces and extracurricular facilities complement the school’s updated learning standard of design to support the FIS’s educational objectives.

ABOUT French International School

Established in 1963, the French International School is one of the largest international schools in Hong Kong with four different campuses and more than 2,700 students from 40 different countries. The multicultural school hosts students aged 3-18, providing tailored education to children from kindergarten through to upper secondary level. The curriculum is underpinned by French and English bilingualism that is offered in two streams: French and international. The Jardine’s Lookout Campus houses around 700 students and 100 teachers, offering world-class facilities and extracurricular activities.
